The Sudhanwa Debbarma Memorial Higher Secondary School was established in the year 1948. The school is conducted into two shift(Morning Shift Primary from Class Nursery – V, Second Shift Noon-Section from Class VI – XII)To meet up the local demand the school was upgraded to upper primary in the year 1953, high school in 1973 and Higher Secondary in 1986 respectively. The school is situated in the heart of Jampuijala Sub-Division. It is the only Higher Secondary school in Jampuijala area. People from various locations pursue their education. Earlier this school was named as Jampuijala H/S School, but later on in the year 1998, it is changed into Sudhanwa Debbarma Memorial H/S School who was an education enthusiastic of the area.
